I thought I'd spend a few minutes today sharing some bits and pieces about what's going on at Proverbs 31 Ministries.

What I mentioned yesterday at the end of my post was my current big project.  Zondervan has contracted with Proverbs 31 Ministries for the next women's devotional Bible.  You might have one of the old pink ones in your bookshelf - I know I do.  We are beyond delighted to be working on this project.

Personally, I was flattered when they asked if I would be the general editor for the project.  I didn't have to pray about it long before answering "YES".  You see, in 2009, I had to release my dream of an expanded writing and speaking ministry.  The needs of my family are just too great at this time for me to travel and speak.  It was a grieving process to give that up.  And I'd already been asking God to show me what I was supposed to do if I couldn't pursue what had been my dream for years.

Then this came up at the end of last summer.  It was tentative then and there were still details to work out. So I started praying with fervor - but trusting that God would show me the right thing to do.   By the end of the year when it was finalized, I had great confidence that God had opened this door for me.

Now I'm reading the past five years of devotions and going through the arduous process of selecting what will go in the Bible.  There will be 365 devotions, and 12 articles on general topics.  It's a prayerful and humbling experience.  I would love your prayers for me and this project!!

Half of them are due May 15 and the balance due September 15.  Then the Bible should be out in late summer 2012.

There's another She Speaks scholarship giveaway being hosted by the Next Step Speaker Services.  You don't have to write an article either!   Visit http://nextstepspeakerservices.org/ to get the details.

Micca Campbell is our featured speaker in the April issue of the P31 Woman magazine.  On Friday, April 1st, she's hosting a giveaway today of a year's subscription to the P31 Woman magazine - which I happen to think is one of the best women's publications around.  (grin) Visit Micca's site to learn more.

Do you know about Encouragement Cafe?  Our precious Luann Prater started this radio ministry a few years ago, and God has blessed it.  She just announced a new website.  It's really cute.  Click here to visit her site.

That's it for today.  Tonight I get to watch my son Dylan cheer lead for the girl's powder puff football game at school.  He's been practicing for a few weeks.  Apparently he was selected by the girls, and has been diligently learning the moves and a dance.  I will make sure my video camera is charged up!

Have a great day!

Love in Christ,
Glynnis

It is so hard to be obedient to God's will for our lives, especially when we do not fully understand, or our hearts are not prepared for what He's asking us to do. It's when we find strength and courage to walk in obedience, without understanding, that we find peace. God always reveals His will in His time. We will be blessed for our obedience. Thanks for sharing your heart.

I remember reading a daily devotional from Proverbs 31 about how the calling and gifts of God in our life are not revoked. God places those gifts and callings on our lives and they cannot be taken away or lost, even when circumstances, decisions, and choices leave us feeling otherwise. It was a very encouraging devotional. And, your story is very encouraging as well. It just proves that when God places a dream in your heart, He provides a door and a way to make that dream a reality even when we don't see it.

God always helps us through our doubtful situations. Everything we go through is for a purpose and for His glory!

God blessed you with the ability to write and touch other's. I read this today and felt it was appropriate to share... "Success means we go to sleep at night knowing that our talents and abilities were used in a way that served others."
