I'd love to hear from you. Please post a comment or email me directly at editor@proverbs31.org.

If you are interested in booking me for a speaking event, please know that I am currently taking a sabbatical from speaking while I undergo an intensive training program to improve my ability to communicate God's truths, and reach women more effectively. This may take a few months, but I will be available for speaking engagements soon.

If you need an immediate speaker, please contact Proverbs 31 for a list of wonderful speakers. You can send an email to Barb at speaker@proverbs31.org. Or call them at 1-877-P31-HOME.

Sherrie -

I hope you check back because I just now read your comment.

The first place to start is a cost of work analysis. That's where you figure out what it's actually costing you to work outside the home. Once you've got that dollar amount, you subtract it from your takehome pay. That's what you need to make at home.

When we figure out what you need to make at home, we can go from there and discuss different options. E-mail me personally at editor@proverbs31.org.

It is possible!!

In His Love - Glynnis

Hi Glynnis,
I have two children who have had ongoing health problems in their lives. My daughter was born with a physical birth defect and my son was diagnosed at age 7 with a rare immune system disorder. We have many praises to share from our trials. My biggest is that God is so real to my kids because they are already learning what it means to depend on Him. Would you like me to pick one of your topic areas for your book and write up a sample for you?
Blessings,

Dear Glynnis,

I'm really glad to read today's devotion and your new year's resolution. It is God's message reminding me to have my workspace organized. I just got a new job in the mall and every sales associate is trying to sell something but fail to organize the workspace. I've been trying to clean and straighten up things and then after a few days I thought about giving up and be like everyone. today I'm reminded that God wants me to be organized and so others would see and perhaps follow. I want God to be glorified in everything I do and I'm certain that if I'll keep my workspace organized, my co workers will notice. that will give me an opportunity to share God's words.

Just wondering if you were going to announce the winner to your drawing a week ago last Friday? Thanks!

Glynnis Whitwer:
I just sent you an essay titled DOES GOD EVER... DANCE? I was advised to do this by Holly Good for a possible in your ministry's magazine. I have numerous publishing credentials and will send them if needed. As a writer, you know that inspiration comes when least expected and this piece was this kind of happening, it gave me a marvelous insight to the whimsical side of God and is the first time I have ever wrote a piece standing up and knowing that my hand was led by someone other than myself. Your web site is wonderful and very uplifting. I never cease to be amazed at the different voices my gender finds, nor the strength that is always there. Thanks. I hope to hear from you soon. God is amazing. Although I receive the P31 devotional in my inbox daily, I don't always get to them. But by simply reading the title, I sometimes save them to read at a later date. Which is what happened today. I have been struggling with my 2 children more and more lately. They are surely ready to get back into the school routine and away from eachother for at least part of the day. Arguements have been happening way too often and I confess that as time has worn on, I have been handling things less and less effectively. So I thank you and praise God for last Friday's devotion! God knew I needed to read it (even if it was several days later) and be reminded of His words, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." Hebrews 10:24 (NIV)

God is truly amazing, I have been distraught today after finding out my mortgage company increased my monthly payment substantialy. I had to take a significant paycut six months ago and am feeling as though my world is spinning out of control. I don't want to lose my home. I am a single mom working very hard to keep it all together. I opened my Encouragment for Today and my tears turned to hope. Thank you for your very timely message.

Hi Glynnis - Was there an organization book for the home you recommended or posted on your blog? I've looked at several in the last couple of weeks and can not remember where I saw it. THANKS!

TAKING TIME TO ENJOY LIFE;
Until now you have asked for nothing in my name.ask and you will recieve, that your joy may be complete.John 16:24

You are the recipient of a precious gift-the gift of life.and because God has seen fit to give you this gift,it is incumbent upon you to use it and enjoy it,But sometimes, amid the inevitable pressures of everyday living, really ennoying life may seem almost impossible,It's not.
Fun is as much a function of environment. So whether you're standing victorious atop one of life's mountains or trudging through one of life's valleys, enjoy yourself. You desrve to have fun today, and God wants you to have fun today...so what on earth are you waiting for?

-TODAY'S PRAYER-

Dear Lord, laughter is Your gift to me;help me to enjoy it.today and everyday, put a smile on my face, and help me to share that smile with my family and friends. This is the day that you have made,
lord,letme enjoy it...and letme laugh.Amen
i pray this put joy into your day as it did me and as women we are the givers of life so why not enjoy it to the fullest.this came from a devotion book for Godly Women.God Bless You all...Sis.Gaddy

Dear Glynnis, I read your blog "Little Decisions Make a Big Difference" at Encouragement Today and like you, I battle weight loss and now control. I am an emotional eater. I suffered abuse as a child an as an adult and found solace in food until I read Hebrews 12:1. For me laying aside the weight meant anything that steals your joy including obesity and psychological issues. I'm in therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder and since getting into sensible, healthy eating and exercise I've lost 60 lbs! I'm also being led to help others because I know I'm not the only one struggling with these issues. To help prepare myself, I'll be entering college in the fall as a psych-religion major. All who read this, I solicit your prayers. Glynnis, continue with Weight Watchers, rely on God's Word and Lay Aside The Weight!

I was so encouraged by this devotion. I'm in the midst of a family situation where major decisions need to be made. I found the Prov 31 site because of my study of the parable of the talents as I felt I needed to get a handle on some of the smaller desicions leading up to the major ones.
Any scriptures or prayers to help with decision making and to stop procrastinating would be helpful.

I work part-time from home and am so grateful I can do this. However, my employer is cutting my time back far enough that I need to expand my skills to other clients, so I'm ready to start my own business. I'd love to read your book. Thank you for serving us so practically.

Glynnis, I can't even begin to explain how much I would love to attend She Speaks. Speaking and writing are really what I feel "wired" to do, and to have the opportunity to be taught and encouraged and mentored by the women I've been listening to and reading...the dream I've been imagining for so long might actually start to take off. Thanks for putting this opportunity out there....Whoever gets it will be blessed and probably changed forever.

Lysa your testimony and books has been such a blessing and an inspiration in my life and spiritual walk. I was seriously contemplating a divorce and I received an email from a friend and the topic you were speaking on happened to be on marriage, GOD was truly speaking to me. Since that day which was less than a month ago I purchased What Happens When Women say Yes to GOD, read it and it truly ministered to my soul, Next I purchased Being more than a good bible study girl--Truly Awesome!! My husband bought me What Happens When Women Walk in Faith on yesterday, I am loving it already. I am called to ministry and I know this conference is for me. My grandmother always tell me that I should have been a counselor she also prophesied to me saying GOD was going to use me for his Glory and to minister to other young woman. I know that GOD has a calling on my life and I just want to do his will only. I came into contact with Proverbs 31 ministry by divine order and I know that through your ministry GOD is going to help me to help others. Be Blessed!! Love Ya!! Oh I also purchased a NIV study BIBLe I have a Bible but this one teaches the word more understandable.

Yes, I agree, we must worship Him w/love and adoration, In Spirit and in truth. David, though, danced on the street. Are you referring to dancing in church or expressing our Joy in the Lord on the street? We as holy people unto the Lord should beware of the "worship music" that's out there b/c alot of it just appeals to the sinful flesh and not to the precious and sacred Holy Spirit.

Thanks for your encouragement,
Joyfully His your sister in Christ.
